Bleda y Rosa
María Bleda (Castellón, 1969) and José María Rosa (Albacete, 1970). Solo exhibitions at Galeria Estrany-de la Mota (Barcelona, 2005), Forvm-Chantal Grande (Tarragona, 2004), Visor (Valencia, 2000), Pedro Oliveira (Oporto, 1999) and Elba Benítez (Madrid, 1996), as well as at the Kunsthalle zu Kiel (Kiel, 2003) and Universidad de Salamanca (2001). Participated in Mediterranean: Between Reality and Utopia, The Photographers’ Gallery (London, 2004) and Manifesta 4 (Frankfurt, 2002). Bleda y Rosa’s work explores history, time and the latent memory of empty spaces. They have produced three photographic series: Campos de fútbol (Football Pitches), Campos de batalla (Battlefields) and Ciudades (Cities). The series Origen, in progress, takes them to places where remains of the first humans have been found.
