Anna C. Chave
Anna C. Chave is associate professor at Harvard University. She took her doctorate at Yale University with a thesis on Mark Rothko’s Subject Matter. She has published the book Mark Rothko: Subjects in Abstraction, as well as articles for the magazines Art in America and Arts Magazine. She is the author of Constantin Brancusi: Shifting the Bases of Art. Chave has given numerous lectures at the Fine Arts Museum of Boston, Yale University, the Whitney Museum, the Brooklyn Museum and Harvard University. Her research work has been sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Rockefeller Foundation research Fellowship, among others.
