Jan Bondeson

He is a specialist in rheumatology and internal medicine and has PhD in experimental medicine. He works at Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology in London. In 1996 he published his first book The Prolific Countess, about medieval legends about multiple births. Other published books are Cabinet of Medical Curiosities (Cornell University Press 1997), The Feejee Mermaid, and Other Essays on Natural and Unnatural History (Cornell University Press 2000). His most recent book is The London Monster (Free Association Books 2000), a historical study of an elusive "Jack the Ripper".
