Frames: Aesthetics or Conservation?
Why are some works framed and others not? Why do we put glass in front of some items and not others? What function should a frame have? What criteria should we use when choosing a framing workshop? What is a passepartout good for? These and other doubts that arise when choosing a quality framing system for a work of art according to its type (oil on canvas, watercolour, graphic work, etc.) will be tackled by Mònica Marull, the foundation’s restorer.
