The burin is my pencil
The forms we see in the engravings may seem the same as when we draw or paint them, but the process is completely different. To make an engraving, we work using different tools on a surface in which we leave imprints: for example, the burin becomes our pencil.
This workshop is a practical introduction to the technique of engraving aimed at children and adults, and is inspired by the exhibition Antoni Tàpies. The acid is my knife. After visiting the museum galleries, we will conduct a workshop using waste materials.
