Reopening: June 12, 2020. Advice for visitors
This year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Fundació Antoni Tàpies. The institution’s headquarters was inaugurated on 5 June 1990 and since then has continued to build a programme of exhibitions and activities with a twofold approach: on the one hand, the study and dissemination of the work of Antoni Tàpies and, on the other, modern and contemporary art projects that offer a reflection on the arts as a way of accessing knowledge.
Circumstances do not allow us to celebrate as we would have liked, but we plan on doing so later. At the moment, we are pleased to announce that you can access the Fundació’s Collection of original works online.
We also anticipate that in October we will open the exhibition Tàpies at 30, which will focus on the period 1953–63, a decade in which Tàpies, then in his thirties, reached maturity in terms of his art and international recognition.
Meanwhile, you can still follow the programming we offered during confinement at #StayHome.
We partially reopen on June 12, 2020, and completely on June 19, 2020.
We hope to see you soon at the Fundació!
